“When deciding on childcare for our daughter we visited a range of centres. As soon as we walked into Rainbow we knew we had found the right place. The staff were so welcoming and made us feel incredibly comfortable. They took the time to get to know Sadie and us as a whanau, you can tell that they really care about the children, their families and the work they do.
Sadie has developed many new skills during her time at Rainbow, she has been exposed to new learning opportunities and her interests have been nurtured and encouraged. Sadie is so happy there that many days she doesn’t want to come home.

“I first got to know Rainbow Preschool through the playgroup (back when it was called SPACE). When I first stepped through the Rainbow gate to attend the playgroup with my 4.5-month-old Bliss, all I saw was a joyful chaos of children playing outside at the Rainbow Preschool. As Bliss got older, we played in the playground with the Rainbow kids. They were all so gentle with the little ones, and I was particularly impressed by two girls who took such care playing with Bliss. Right then, I knew that this was the place for her and signed up to attend Rainbow Preschool. The environment – happy, kind, and gentle – was exactly what I wanted for Bliss in her first five years. Then I saw a senior teacher interacting with some older kids. She was even giving a piggyback ride to what looked like a 4-year-old boy! And it seemed genuine – she truly enjoyed playing with him. It was clear the teachers here have a real love for the children, not just a job. Speaking of love, the teachers prioritise our children's safety above all else. I've seen this time and again, especially during lockdowns. They take every precaution to keep the kids safe. Both Bliss and Johnny attended the playgroup and now love going to Rainbow Preschool. It has been a wonderful place for us to grow in together as a family and the whole environment feels very inclusive and caring. We highly recommend it!”
