Our dedicated and qualified educators at Rainbow Preschool are committed to fostering holistic development in our children. Through our play-based and self-select programs, carefully crafted to enhance, extend, and challenge children’s thinking and learning, we provide both individual and group experiences.
Rainbow Preschool is a Family Support centre where we extend our support beyond normal early childhood education. Our Family Support Programmes include a variety of initiatives such as Mum & Me Dates, Who Let The Dads Out (WLTDO), informative Parent Education Workshops, and Mums and Bubs groups. These offerings are designed to strengthen family bonds, provide valuable resources, and empower parents in their journey of nurturing and guiding their children.

Our Philosophy
All children are born with God given potential and we seek to provide a Christian environment that enhances their mana and supports their ongoing learning.
We acknowledge the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and implement these into our daily practice recognising the unique status of tangata whenua in Aotearoa New Zealand. Our learning community reflects diversity, and we want all tamariki/children to be secure in their identity, language and culture. This will support them to live confidently in a rapidly changing world having the creative and resilient skills to thrive.
Our Purpose
To provide high-quality, child-centred education and care that is equally accessible to the entire community, both economically and socially, offered in an atmosphere of Christian love and acceptance. Our aim is to enrich the lives of children who attend, as well as those of their families.

Rainbow Hours
- Monday - Friday: 7.30am - 5.30pm
- Open School Holidays
- Full time or Part time
- Please Note: We are closed for approximately 2-3 weeks during the Christmas & New Year period
Rainbow Fees
- $5.70 per hour If able to do Parent Help
- $6.20 per hour If unable to do Parent Help
- Fees will be charged at the greater of booked or attended hours. 20 Hours ECE is available for 3 and 4 year old.
Parent Help
- 3 Hours, once a term
- This is a great support for the teachers and a good opportunity to spend time with your child
